Accreditation

Since 1897, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has been continuously accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, master’s, education specialist, and doctoral degrees.

The Haslam College of Business was first accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 1941, becoming the 53rd school to earn this distinguished accreditation. The AACSB accreditation process is a comprehensive review of a school’s mission, faculty qualifications, and curricula, and the process includes self-evaluations, peer-reviews, committee reviews and the development of in-depth strategic plans.
